Job Description: General Accountant for US Healthcare E-Commerce Business

Location: Remote (Minimum 4 hours overlap with EST)

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented General Accountant to manage full-cycle accounting and support the financial integrity of our growing business.
Key Responsibilities
- Full-Cycle Accounting:
- Oversee Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP).
- Perform month-end closings, reconciliations, and journal entries.
- Manage bank feeds and ensure timely bank account reconciliations.
- Systems Management:
- Utilize and maintain NetSuite for financial operations and reporting.
- Operate Bill.com for AP management and payment processing.
- Compliance and Reporting:
- Prepare and file 1099s for applicable vendors.
- Ensure compliance with US GAAP standards.
- Collaborate with tax professionals to ensure accurate Avalara usage for sales tax compliance.
- Payroll Administration:
- Manage bi-weekly payroll processing.
- E-commerce Financial Operations:
- Monitor and reconcile payment platforms such as PayPal and Stripe.
- Oversee inventory management and provide financial insights on stock levels and valuation.
- Financial Reporting and Analysis:
- Generate and analyze financial reports for leadership, including profitability, cash flow, and operational metrics.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA preferred but not required.
- Experience:
- At least 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in an e-commerce or retail environment.
- Proven expertise in US GAAP.
- Hands-on experience with financial platforms like NetSuite, Bill.com, PayPal, Stripe, and Avalara.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software and strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- Work Hours: Ability to overlap at least 4 hours with Eastern Standard Time (New York work hours).
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication, attention to detail, and ability to work independently in a remote setup.
