JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS: A Web and Marketing Content Specialist is being sought to produce and disseminate strategic marketing and communication materials designed to enhance storytelling capabilities, marketing/recruitment efforts, and the reputation of the College of the Liberal Arts. The person in this position will focus primarily on developing strategic messages and content for websites and promotional materials that help boost student/alumni recruitment and engagement efforts and build brand awareness for the college. The Web and Marketing Content Specialist will also create similar web content and assist with the development of strategic messaging/resources for the college's academic units and research centers. Other responsibilities include are not limited to: Collect and analyze data to measure and enhance the effectiveness of web content and promotional materials Assist with the development of materials/resources for noteworthy college- and unit-level events and meetings Ensure produced content meets all pertinent accessibility guidelines The Web and Marketing Content Specialist will work both independently and collaboratively, utilizing organizational and multi-tasking skills and content creation creativity, to complete this position’s responsibilities. Additional Qualifications: Proven outstanding writing skills and ability to produce concise communication Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills Ability to adhere to deadlines and adapt to changing priorities Demonstrated ability to be a self-starter Demonstrates an appreciation and understanding of diverse audiences and communities Experience with one or more of the following is also preferred: writing and editing in a higher education setting, search engine optimization, website analytics. Familiarity with AP and Chicago style guidelines is also a plus. In addition, successful candidates must either have demonstrated a commitment to building an inclusive, equitable, and diverse campus community, or describe one or more ways they would envision doing so, given the opportunity. Additional Information: Reporting directly to the Assistant Director of Marketing and Branding in Liberal Arts, this position is a key member of the college’s Marketing and Branding and Web and Creative Services teams.
