Job Description
As a Data Analyst in Scalable’s growing Data Department you will be working alongside Data Engineers and Data Scientists on Advanced Analytics use cases, as well as Business Intelligence applications. We are looking for individuals who are strong with writing advanced SQL but also know how to condense functional requirements from different stakeholders into code and beautiful dashboards. Your work contributes significantly to a data-driven way of working and decision making throughout the organisation.
Job Description
- Work on advanced analytics use cases and implement data analytics applications on our modern AWS-based data stack
- Set up and maintain data pipelines (SQL) used in dashboards and analytics applications
- Communicate with stakeholders from different departments like Marketing or Finance and gather requirements
- Optimise our existing dashboards and the underlying data models for performance and cost
- Work on ad-hoc requests and provide answers to questions through data
- Build beautiful dashboards that make it easy to understand KPIs
- Proactively generate insights from structured and unstructured data to identify and answer business questions
- Communicate your findings and advanced analytics concepts to stakeholders in a clear and effective manner
- Drive continuous improvements and optimization of end-to-end analytics: from data provenance and data collections to reports and supporting teams in integrating data insights into their workflow
- Work in an ego-free environment and be part of a motivated, fast-paced, and result-driven agile team with highly ambitious and intelligent people in our growing data analytics department
Qualifications
- University degree in computer science, engineering, natural science, mathematics, economics or similar field
- Strong commitment to teamwork and resilience in a creative and constantly changing environment
- Data-driven mindset and good with numbers whilst being able to explain complex concepts in simple terms
- Strong organisational skills paired with excellent problem solving skills and hands-on mentality
- Several years of experience writing advanced SQL queries, experience in Python and dbt is a plus
- Familiar with visualisation best practices and storytelling with data
- A strong business understanding
- Interest in FinTech and the Finance industry
- Experience with web or app analytics (GTM, Google Analytics) is a plus
- Experience with building, extending and maintaining dashboard applications is a plus
- Strong stakeholder management and excellent English communication skills, you are able to tell stories using data and drive discussions with business leaders
- Sense of humour
