Project Description: Our client is a widely-known American company that is working on tools and advice for you to make it easy to pay off debt, choose the best of the best financial products and services (insurance, credit cards, etc.), and tackle your major life goals (saving for retirement, buying a house, etc.).
\n- Collaborate with the development team to design, develop, and deploy new features for web.
- Write clean, maintainable, and performant code based on industry best practices and team conventions.
- Build robust, high-quality REST API endpoints, backend components and GraphQL schema to support feature development.
- Perform unit and integration testing to ensure code quality.
- Actively engage in code reviews by providing and receiving constructive feedback.
- 3+ years of experience as a web engineer.
- 2+ years of supporting backend/full stack experience.
- Strong expertise in React, Node.js, HTML, CSS, and TypeScript.
- Experience with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL).
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and unit testing frameworks.
- Experience with NextJS.
- Experience with API development in Python and Go.
- Experience with GraphQL (client- and server-side).
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS).
- Experience with design systems and UI/UX best practices.
- Ability to work independently, proactively communicate progress & blockers, and iterate work as needed.
- Experience with leading technical projects (scoping and breaking down work, leading and assisting other engineers, coordinating test plans with QA).
