Job Description
The mission of the Financial Crimes organization at Block has a core focus to identify and report suspected money laundering, terrorist financing or other unlawful activity in accordance with Block’s Anti-Money Laundering and Counter Terrorist Financing Policy. You will report to the Head of Intelligence which is part of the Cash App Global Financial Crimes organization.
As the Anti-Human Exploitation Program Manager you will support the overall Financial Crimes mission by leading, designing and implementing a program focused on combating human exploitation on the Cash App platform with a focus on preventing the sale of child sex abuse material (CSAM) and payments which involve human trafficking. This entails devising a risk prevention strategy, implementing tools to enhance detection capabilities, and offering guidance in all aspects of human exploitation, including bolstering relationships with law enforcement and NGOs.
You Will:
Ingest and manage intelligence related to human exploitation activity to inform policies, investigation enhancements, product controls and other areas of the business where relevant
Collaborate with Compliance leads and relevant business stakeholders including the Executive Leadership team to implement the anti-human exploitation strategy
Partner and lead cross platform collaboration, ensuring knowledge sharing across Block Inc., investigative teams
Develop procedures applicable to relevant teams, including iterating on existing workflows to streamline and improve identification of activity
Work with other Compliance Team members to develop technical specifications for tool enhancements or new tool build
Understand the regulatory landscape and compliance requirements; with emphasis on applicable BSA/AML requirements for detection of potentially suspicious activity related to human exploitation
Provide guidance, insight and act as an escalation point for matters related to human exploitation which includes making recommendations to various stakeholders across the Cash App organization
Expand and strengthen partnerships with law enforcement and non-governmental organizations (NGOs)
Attend relevant seminars and conferences as a representative of Cash App to stay informed about CSAM and Human Trafficking issues. This involves participating in panel discussions and public speaking events to share industry trends and best practices.
Present to Compliance senior leadership and partners across the company to provide updates on the anti-human exploitation strategy
**It is possible that this role will be exposed to harmful content as part of the core role and in response to escalation requests.
Qualifications
You Have:
8+ years related industry experience with at least four years with an NGO focused on human exploitation activity.
Bachelor’s degree
Strong understanding of human exploitation activity, including the sale of CSAM, sextortion, romance scams and payments for human trafficking
Excellent cross-functional project management skills, excellent communication skills and a passion to unite people behind a common goal
Project management experience, which includes ability to document, measure, track and communicate results and overall effectiveness of implemented strategies
Even better:
Direct experience managing law enforcement and/or NGO partnerships
Direct experience designing detection modeling and controls
Knowledge of AML regulations, risks and typologies

Block takes a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on your location. U.S. locations are categorized into one of four zones based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.
Zone A: USD $142,000 - USD $213,000
Zone B: USD $132,100 - USD $198,100
Zone C: USD $124,900 - USD $187,300
Zone D: USD $113,600 - USD $170,400
