The Role
We are looking for a Junior Quality Assurance Engineer to join ThreatConnect's Core QA team. - Help developers plan bug fixes and provide the stakeholders with valuable information about ongoing processes. Use your analytical, technical and testing skills to oversee ongoing processes and offer training for the team members.
- Ensure the test documentation is accurate, contemporary and compliant with all the relevant policies.
- Participate in all test phases, including functional, system, integration, regression, load/performance, automation and UAT.
- Run and review test scripts to check alignment with user stories and initial requirements.
- Provide constructive feedback on received reports and suggest product improvements. Make sure there are no major blockages in features or functionality before release day.
- Collaborate with development and customer success teams to reach common resolutions for the product and set the expectations for the testing team.
- Have the tester mindset of technical curiosity to scope both manual and automation work needed
- Listen to and absorb the technology, use cases, and challenges this role is designed to fulfill
- Have experience automating test cases and familiar with a dynamic scripting language

- Be familiar with our software, internal tools, and processes
- Be able to build and run your first set of tests
- Be able to articulate outcomes from the tests and report on them to leadership
- Have a deeper understanding of our product and the different configurations that are possible.
- Be able to test more complex/technical features and have mastered the test tools we use
- Be able to train/mentor new members of the team
- Plan a strategy for expanding tests to more technical parts of the product

- 1-2 year Automated Software Quality Assurance required using a dynamic scripting language
- Experience with databases (SQL, Hana, Postgres)
- Experience using Jira or a similar tool
- Understanding of and experience with all aspects of the software development life cycle (SDLC)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A positive and people-oriented attitude

- Experience working with teams in different time zones
- Experience working as a one-person team
