Job Summary:
We are seeking a talented and passionate Mid-Level Contract Product Designer to join our team and contribute to the evolution of our veterinary practice management platform. You will play a key role in designing user-centered solutions that address the unique needs of veterinary professionals. This contract role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on the veterinary industry and work on a product that truly makes a difference.
Responsibilities:
Leading with Your Head
As a Mid-Level Product Designer at Vetspire, you'll bring your expertise and analytical skills to the forefront, playing a critical role in shaping the user experience of our platform. You'll be responsible for:
- Collaborating with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand user needs and translate them into intuitive and engaging user experiences
- Conducting user research, including user interviews, surveys, and usability testing, to gather insights and validate design decisions

Leading With Your Hands
- Create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups to visualize and communicate design concepts
- Design user interfaces for web and mobile applications, ensuring consistency with Vetspire's design system and brand guidelines
- Iterate on designs based on user feedback and data analysis
- Present design work to stakeholders and effectively communicate design rationale
- Stay up-to-date on the latest design trends and best practices
- Contribute to the ongoing development and maintenance of Vetspire's design system
Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in product design, UX design, or a related field
- A strong portfolio showcasing user-centered design solutions for web and mobile applications
- Proficiency in design tools such as Figma (our primary tool)
- Solid understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies
- Experience conducting user research and usability testing
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience designing for SaaS products
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the veterinary or healthcare industry is a plus
