About the Role
An economist based in Madrid is seeking a skilled senior video editor to work part-time on their YouTube channel focused on Caribbean economics. The channel aims to create engaging and informative content for its audience, and the editor will be responsible for editing weekly videos and clips. This is a remote position, and the client's budget is flexible, with the goal of making a hire soon.
Responsibilities:
- Edit weekly video content for the Caribbean economics-focused YouTube channel
- Create engaging and visually appealing clips and highlights from the longer videos
- Ensure a consistent, professional, and informative style across all video content
- Collaborate with the client to understand the desired tone, messaging, and branding
- Optimise videos for YouTube platform and audience engagement
- 5+ years of experience as a senior video editor, preferably with a focus on educational or informative content
- Proficient in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar
- Strong storytelling and pacing skills to create engaging, informative videos
- Ability to work independently and manage deadlines
