Legal Project Manager

The Legal Project Manager position is a valuable role within Virta. Reporting to the General Counsel, your work will be collaborative and cross-functional as you provide support to stakeholders, both internal and external. This is an exciting opportunity to work within the field of Legal and Compliance - to be successful in this role, there is a strong preference for someone with a legal or compliance background who has strong project management and organizational skills and a growth mindset.
Responsibilities
Acting as first point of contact for all inbound legal and compliance queries, escalating matters as necessary to members of the legal team and tracking completion.
Commercial contract management within Ironclad CLM, including service agreements, NDAs, BAAs, and independent contractor agreements.
Working with the commercial team on RFIs/RFPs, vendor data security, and privacy questionnaires.
Managing recurring tasks that mitigate regulatory risk to the company
Assisting Privacy and InfoSec on incident and breach investigations and reporting.
Support the preparation and submission of the Company’s public regulatory filings, including state registrations and annual reports, information gathering, reporting, and record-keeping.
Managing and collaborating on Virta’s risk assessment, hotline investigations and compliance audits.
Coordinating and responding to internal and external audit and data requests.
Ensure that all Legal team records are stored in secure, organized file systems to support shared knowledge and compliant record-keeping.
Support document retention and destruction policy and legal hold process.
Manage the Legal team internal website: upload new templates, training, forms, and guides and help create new content to support the legal support process and provide opportunities for self-service.
Maintain corporate records and minute books for Compliance Committee, Patient Events Committee and Board meetings; assist with drafting minutes.
Assist with maintaining corporate calendar and tracking regulatory deadlines and maintaining legal and compliance policies, including annual reviews/updates.
Requirements
Paralegal or other legal or compliance experience in healthcare or other highly regulated industry.
Great team player with strong interpersonal and organizational skills and excellent written and oral communication skills.
Document management and administrative experience. If you have a basic understanding of Ironclad Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) and related tools, this will be highly desirable.
Proficiency in Google suite, particularly Google Sheets and Google Slides.
Ability to multitask; this role manages a varied workload so the ability to balance business-as-usual tasks alongside project work is important.
Ability to drive work forward independently and with a high degree of accuracy
Attention to detail; accuracy and precision are essential to be able to deliver quality results to our customers and stakeholders.
An appreciation for the importance of processes and requirements, regulatory and otherwise.

Virta has a location based compensation structure. Starting pay will be based on a number of factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience.
