Walnut Way Conservation Corp. is seeking a detail-oriented Data Analyst to join our team and contribute to our mission of community empowerment and conservation. As a Data Analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing and interpreting complex data sets to provide insights that drive strategic decision-making and enhance our program effectiveness.
The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, proficiency in data analysis tools, and the ability to communicate findings clearly to diverse audiences. You will work closely with various departments to identify data needs, design and implement analyses, and help translate data into actionable recommendations that support our initiatives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Collect, clean, and analyze data from various sources to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports that provide stakeholders with regular updates on key performance indicators.
- Collaborate with program managers to define data requirements and analysis objectives.
- Perform statistical analysis to evaluate program outcomes and impact.
- Provide data-driven recommendations to improve program effectiveness and operational efficiency.
- Ensure data integrity and accuracy by implementing best practices for data management.
- Communicate findings and insights through written reports and presentations to diverse audiences.
- Stay informed of current trends in data analysis and visualization techniques.
- Support staff training on data reporting tools and techniques as needed.

- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Data Analyst or similar role.
- Strong proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Excel, and data visualization software such as Tableau or Power BI).
- Experience with statistical analysis techniques and methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex data in an understandable manner.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently.
- Knowledge of nonprofit operations and program evaluation is a plus.
- Familiarity with data privacy laws and ethical data handling practices.
