We're looking for an experienced Principal Software Development Engineer to join our Cloud Browser Isolation team. Reporting to the Sr Manager Software Engineering, you'll be responsible for:
- Design and implement tools for automation of deployment/upgrade of customer rollouts with a focus on minimising maintenance requirements and error prone tasks.
- Implement tools and automation to increase developers productivity and act as an advocate for DevOps inside the engineering teams.
- Working closely with QA and Engineering to understand, design and implement solutions for the infrastructure that are aligned with the business requirements.
- Work with SMEs and participate in all phases of product development to assess, plan and contribute to the evolution of infrastructure to support the product from a scalability and performance perspective.
- Participate in post-mortem operations discussions, capacity planning exercises to help identify areas of improvements on automation and error reporting/observability.
What We’re Looking for (Minimum Qualifications)
- 10+ years of software engineering experience with at least 2 years in tech lead / staff / principal role
- Experience coding in the following languages: GoLang, Java or Rust, intermediate experience with python, bash
- Expertise with backend systems in large-scale service-oriented architectures
- Intermediate to advanced level experience with at least one public cloud platform like AWS, Azure, or GCP. AWS Preferred.
- Intermediate to advanced level experience with Linux Operating System and CI & Build tools.
What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
- Good experience working with one or more config management and orchestration tools like Terraform, Docker, Ansible, Puppet, Salt or Chef. Terraform or Docker Preferred.
