We're looking for an experienced Principal Software Engineer to join our EMEA Cloud Browser Isolation team, work in a remote capacity, and report to the Director, Software Engineering who is based in Madrid, Spain.
Responsibilities:
- Own multiple components definition, design, implementation, testing, delivery and monitor, according to the team's responsibilities.
- Analyse product requirements and translating into a practical technical solution.
- Design available and scalable solutions with security in mind for public cloud applications.
- Write correct, maintainable, portable, testable, secure and reliable code of our current components and future components.
- Write unit / integration / e2e / performance / resilience tests where it makes sense and integrate them in our CI/CD flow.
- Build quick MVPs / POCs to validate technical solutions.
What We're Looking for (Minimum Qualifications)
- 7+ years of experience in software engineering
- 3+ years of modern C++ (C++ 11 or later)
- At least 2 years of experience in one of the following programming languages: Java, Go, C#, Rust
- 3+ years of Linux experience
- Knowledge of browser engines (Chromium, Firefox or WebKit) internals
What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
- Experience with low latency networking and low-level networking protocols (TCP, UDP or custom protocols) or known or custom protocols
- Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes and cloud deployments (AWS, GCP or Azure)
- Web technologies such as WebAudio, WebGL, WebAssembly
