Scope of the role:
As the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing all accounting operational functions, establishing robust internal controls, and providing crucial financial information for decision-making. You will play a key role in managing financial processes, consolidating data, preparing financial statements, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Additionally, you will lead a team of skilled accounting professionals and contribute to the improvement of accounting operations and processes.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, direct, and coordinate all accounting operational functions in Netsuite.
- Establish and maintain an effective system of internal controls over financial processes and reporting.
- Manage the timely accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for accurate accounting of consolidated business results.
- Coordinate and prepare internal and external financial statements.
- Coordinate activities of external auditors.
- Provide management with information vital to the decision-making process.
- Hire, train, and retain skilled accounting staff.
- Assess current accounting operations, offer recommendations for improvement, and implement new processes.
- Develop and monitor business performance metrics.
- Oversee regulatory reporting, including tax planning and compliance.
- Supervise the research of technical accounting issues.
- C1 English level, with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- 10+ years of Accounting/Finance experience in a corporate setting and/or public accounting firm.
- Professional accreditation such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), or Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of GAAP Accounting principles. (Must Have)
- Expertise in Netsuite, a cloud-based ERP system, is essential.(Must Have)
- Preovious bill.com and its integrations for efficient accounts payable management.(Must Have)
- Proficiency in financial analysis software like Excel, QuickBooks, etc., for strategic decision-making. (Must Have)
- Previous experience working with e-commerce (Nice to Have)
- Previous experience in a Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) or direct-to-consumer start-up environment with rapid growth is a plus. (Nice to Have)
