About the role
Anthropic is seeking a talented Brand Designer specializing in web and interactive design to elevate our visual brand identity and bring our groundbreaking AI products, research, and ideas to life through engaging digital experiences. In this role, you'll be responsible for designing and developing captivating web pages, interactive infographics, and immersive digital storytelling experiences that effectively communicate our cutting-edge AI technology to diverse audiences.
You'll collaborate closely with the design team, Comms & Marketing, researchers, and our policy team to translate complex concepts into visually striking and user-friendly web experiences. Your expertise in information architecture, communication design, and interactive design will be crucial in creating digital brand assets that not only inform but also inspire and engage our target audiences.
Responsibilities:
- Using data and insights to communicate Anthropic's narrative, including conducting user research and analyzing A/B testing results to inform design decisions
- Creating engaging web experiences using modern tools and content management systems, while maintaining brand consistency and user experience standards
- Developing and optimizing digital experiences through iterative design processes, incorporating user feedback and performance metrics
- Creating rapid prototypes to effectively communicate and validate design concepts, being comfortable with quick iterations to bring ideas to life
- Articulating a creative vision by collaborating with other designers, illustrators, photographers, and stakeholders
- Communicating ideas and painting a picture of our work through written language (project briefs, written narratives, etc.) weaving our brand narrative together across various outputs
You may be a good fit if you:
- Have strong interactive, UX, and UI design skills with a portfolio demonstrating compelling digital experiences
- Enjoy storytelling in a web/interactive format and have experience building pages using low-code tools such as Framer, Webflow, or similar platforms
- Have experience working within content management systems and understanding their constraints and possibilities
- Can effectively conduct and interpret user research to inform design decisions
- Are comfortable analyzing data and metrics to optimize design solutions and drive improvements through A/B testing
- Independently drive projects and make independent judgements based on your understanding of the brand and business goals, while seeking feedback, brainstorming cross-functionally, and augmenting your work with others' expertise
- Understand people's feelings, cultures, and challenges through an inquisitive, learning-based approach towards your audience and subject
- Have working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to effectively collaborate with web engineers and create more informed designs
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to accessibility standards and universal design principles, ensuring inclusive experiences for all users
- Hold to a standard of design without being a perfectionist, with the ability to understand the tradeoffs of fast-paced work without sacrificing standards
