About this role:
At Astronomer, our R&D team is dedicated to providing an exceptional experience in managing Apache Airflow at scale. As a leading player in the industry, we are seeking a talented Software Engineer to work on our Developer Experience initiative, a critical component of our expansion strategy. You will play a pivotal role in driving the success of our platform. Collaborating closely with our applications team and product team, you will build an intuitive onboarding and self-service experience, as well as tools for our users. Your contributions will directly impact our ability to scale and deliver exceptional value to our customers.
What you get to do:
Contribute to the design and implementation of the Astro onboarding process and developer tools used by our customers.
Collaborate with front end developers, API engineers, and product management to understand user requirements, implement and iterate on the features that delight our customers.
Continuously evaluate and improve the overall user experiences.
What you bring to the role:
Experience with React and TypeScript.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Experience with software development best practices, such as code reviews, testing, CI/CD, version control, automation and debugging.
Bonus points if you have:
Experience with Golang or Python.
Experience with Kubernetes.
Experience working on a SaaS platform.
Experience with Postgres or other relational databases.
1-3 years of engineering experience.
The estimated salary for this role ranges from $135,000 - $155,000 based on leveling and geography, along with an equity component and a comprehensive benefits package. This range is merely an estimate; actual compensation may deviate from this range based on skills, experience, and qualifications.
