The Role
Several years ago Bird acquired Telserv, a leading company in numbering, providing coverage in 145+ markets. Now fully integrated into Bird, serving a large number of customers worldwide.
To continue this success we’re looking for a Carrier & Account Manager who will work on expanding our numbering products and also sell the coverage back into our existing customer base.
You will be the main person responsible for all procurement of Numbering Services for our wholesale customer base, working closely with the Sr. Account Manager to continue our success in this market. You understand where (new) opportunities are, build new products, improve existing ones, and advise on how we should sell them.
You have a strong commercial sense and are always on the look to deliver value, either in cost-saving opportunities or selling (new) products into our customer base.
What you'll do
Responsible for full P&L of Bird’s wholesale numbering services
Continuously work on our wholesale numbering products: Build new products, improve the cost of existing ones, and retire any products that are not commercially successful
Work with internal teams to optimize, streamline, and automate processes
Coordinate the commercial and technical implementation of new vendors and/or products
Ensure our customer onboarding and support teams have the right information to onboard the customer (KYC, commercials, porting requirements, etc.)
What you already have
Strong commercial sense - in both buying and selling
1-2 years experience in a telco or similar environment in a sales and/or procurement role
Basic understanding of numbering products and how they are used by both wholesale and enterprise customers
Great Excel or Google Sheets skills
Experience in Telco and/or CPaaS would be an advantage
