The E-commerce Manager and Merchandiser is responsible for managing the online product catalog, ensuring product content is accurate, engaging, and aligned with brand standards. This role involves overseeing product listings, inventory management, and the overall presentation of products on the website. The eCommerce Merchandiser ensures that the product pages are optimized for conversions and that inventory levels are maintained. This position reports directly to the Director of E-commerce.
Position Responsibilities:
Product Content Management:
- Create, update, and optimize product listings (descriptions, images, prices) for the e-commerce platform.
- Ensure product pages are SEO-optimized with relevant keywords, accurate descriptions, and high-quality images.
- Work closely with the marketing and content teams to maintain consistency in brand voice across product pages.
Inventory Management:
- Monitor product availability and stock levels to ensure the website accurately reflects inventory.
- Work with the supply chain and logistics teams to ensure timely restocks and manage
out-of-stock products. - Coordinate with other teams to ensure inventory data is synced across platforms.
Product Display and Presentation:
- Ensure that products are displayed in an appealing and logical manner on the e-commerce site.
- Manage categories, product groupings, and promotions to ensure they align with the current marketing and sales strategies.
- Collaborate with the design team to optimize the visual presentation of product pages.
Pricing and Promotions:
- Ensure product pricing is accurate and up-to-date across all channels.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to implement seasonal promotions, discounts, and sales campaigns.
- Assist with setting and updating promotional pricing and bundles.
Sales and Performance Monitoring:
- Analyze performance metrics (conversion rates, click-through rates, etc.) of product
pages to identify areas for improvement. - Suggest improvements to product page layouts, imagery, or content based on performance data.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with the E-commerce Director, marketing, and customer service teams to align on promotional strategies and product availability.
- Provide insights and feedback to improve the online shopping experience and drive conversions.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Fashion, or a related field.
- Experience in e-commerce merchandising, content management, or online retail.
- At least 4 years experience in content management systems (CMS) and Shopify.
- Understanding of SEO best practices for product listings.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to analyze sales data and customer feedback to optimize product pages.
Salary Range: $90k- $120K/year
