WHAT YOU'LL DO
Are you a critical thinker? Are you open to collaboration, willing to challenge ideas, and receptive to feedback? Are you comfortable with ambiguity? We are seeking a fearless and passionate Senior Product Designer to join Braze’s SMS team.
Product Designers at Braze have the freedom to work on all aspects of the user experience, with particular strength in at least one area of user experience, or service design — user research, user flows, wireframing, diagramming, interaction design, rapid prototyping, design documentation, or motion design, to name a few examples.
You’ll be primarily working on defining and designing high impact features as well as iterating on the user experience to improve how customers send chat messages with Braze. Through research and customer feedback you’ll identify, and prioritize problems to solve, and scale the design experience, to offer the best-in-class marketing tools.
You will be a strategic partner with Engineering and Product Management contributing to the team’s vision, goals, and processes. You'll partner with product managers, engineers, fellow designers, UX researchers, product analysts, and technical writers to deliver solutions that make Braze an intuitive and enjoyable product to work with. You will also participate in regular design work sessions to receive and provide feedback on design work. You will need to understand our users and our business, and you will be expected to be an effective verbal and visual communicator.
WHO YOU ARE
- 4+ years of product design experience working on a digital product
- A collaborative designer; you seek the truth with partners across engineering, product management, UX research, product analysts, product marketing, and technical writers
- An evidence-based decision maker; through user research, you identify problems to solve that add value, capture insights, and integrate findings into design improvements
- A framer for creative solutions; you contextualize the problem space in people’s journeys
- At ease with ambiguity; you learn through experimentation to find clarity
- A clear communicator; you articulate design decisions, their constraints, trade offs, and risks
- A dedicated craftsperson; you use your skills of wire-framing, prototyping, and interaction design to create a great user experiences
- A growth-oriented Individual Contributor; You have a few years under your belt working on complex applications and are focused on expanding your broad proficiency of skills and career
- What Captures our Attention:
- Significant experience with any aspect of lifecycle marketing
- Portfolio demonstrating the why’s of the design decision supported by user insights, data or technical limitations
- Experience shipping high impact features
- Experience working on SaaS products both on web and mobile
- Experience in an agile organization, working in cross-functional teams / pods / verticals
