We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager for our Software Engineering team. This role will be responsible for leading a team of engineers working on .Net, React, and AI applications, with a particular focus on the use of generative AI in web application development in an Agile environment. This is a hands-on role, and the successful candidate will occasionally be asked to develop functionality.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Drive the development and implementation of .Net, React, and AI applications, with a focus on the use of generative AI for creating innovative web applications.
2. Lead and manage a team of software engineers in an Agile environment, fostering a collaborative and inclusive culture.
3. Identify opportunities for leveraging AI to enhance business processes, efficiency, and innovation.
4. Use AI tools to accelerate development and testing processes.
5. Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in AI to maintain a competitive edge.
6. Oversee the day-to-day engineering activities, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
7. Participate in Agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
8. Collaborate with other departments to understand their needs and translate them into technical requirements.
9. Occasionally develop functionality as part of the hands-on nature of this role.

Qualifications:
1. Proven experience as a Software Engineering Manager or similar role in an Agile environment.
2. Strong knowledge of generative AI, .Net, React, and REST APIs.
3. Specific experience with generative AI and its application in web development.
4. Experience using AI tools to accelerate development and testing processes.
5. Excellent leadership and team management skills.
6. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically.
7. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
8. Willingness and ability to occasionally roll up sleeves.

Nice to Have:
1. Experience working with native AWS technologies, including Lex and Kendra.
2. Experience in benefits administration or the healthcare industry.

 

 

Standard working hours are 8am-5pm Central Time, unless otherwise stated in the Job Description. 

 

 

In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share the base salary range for this position is $125,000-170,000, exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses.  If you are hired at bswift, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience. In addition to those factors – we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future & continued salary growth. We also offer a generous compensation and benefits package!
