Cresta is looking for a Senior Accountant to join our team! This role will be responsible for supporting our day-to-day operating activities, period-end close processes, accounting projects and other accounting initiatives. This is an individual contributor role that requires strong critical thinking, communication and project management skills. This individual will report to the Accounting Manager.
\n- Execute period-end close activities, including the preparation of journal entries, reconciliations and other relevant working papers
- Partner with external vendors to ensure timely and accurate set up in Cresta’s AP platform
- Manage vendor bills to ensure they are accounted, reviewed and paid for in accordance with relevant policies
- Review customer contracts to ensure timely and accurate invoicing and proper application of ASC 606 for revenue recognition
- Facilitate the adoption of new accounting policies and updates to existing policies
- Prepare financial statements and other records in accordance with U.S. GAAP
- Lead the optimization of existing processes and procedures within the accounting team
- Partner with Finance to ensure accurate internal reporting of financials and analyze forecast variances
- Support cross-functional teams to optimize operating activities and facilitate strong information flow
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or business
- 2 or more years of relevant work experience in accounting or auditing
- Strong knowledge of general accounting principles (U.S. GAAP)Strong knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to deliver high quality work in a dynamic, fast paced environment
- Ability to be an effective individual contributor with minimal supervision
- Ability to plan, execute and deliver projects in a timely manner
- Experience working as an auditor at a Big 4 Public Accounting Firm
- Experience with financial statement audits
- Experience with an IPO process
- Experience with internal controls
- Active CPA license (or actively working towards attainment)
Compensation for this position includes a base salary, equity, and a variety of benefits. The U.S. base salary range for this role is $90,000 - $100,000. Actual base salaries will be based on candidate-specific factors, including experience, skillset, and location, and local minimum pay requirements as applicable.
