Duties
Deep Analysis: Thoroughly analyze customers’ and business problems to identify key pain points.
Solution Creation: Quickly develop impactful and elegant solutions to identified problems.
Strategic Thinking: Approach product development from a high-level perspective to connect missing dots and ensure cohesion.
Criteria Updates: Update acceptance criteria and define the logic underlying your work.
Ownership: Take full cycle ownership of your work, from ideation and design to review, feedback in the final test build, and post-release evaluation.
Team Leadership: Co-lead your team alongside Product Managers and Developers.
Mentorship: Actively provide feedback and mentor designers within your team.
Design Reviews: Perform design reviews for your vertical.
Vision Alignment: Drive the vision for your product, ensuring your team is aligned on achieving a better future state.
Execution Steering: Guide the team’s design execution to meet business goals.
Cross-Platform Problem Solving: Work holistically across multiple platforms, including the employee portal, employer portal, and admin dashboard for customer support.
Design Ownership: Manage the design work for one or more product teams, depending on complexity.
Quality Assurance: Ensure the design quality within your vertical meets our Deel Design Standards.

Requirements
Be passionate about design
Able to learn fast
Experienced on mentoring product designers (the ability to give constructive feedback to enable product designers to learn and progress)
Previously worked for minimum of 5-7 years experience as product designer in fast paced environment (ideally scale up/ start up)
Currently on working as Staff product designer (or equivalent title) and have a minimum of 1 to 2 years experience leading design in face paced environment (ideally scale up/ start up)
Have strong knowledge and practice in both UX and UI.
Have good knowledge of Payroll and fintech.
Experienced in design systems
Autonomous force multiplier for their team and designers around them
Know when to go deep on a task and when to execute
Experienced with being embedded into a development team with light touch from the product manager. We believe that the work comes from everyone, not just top down.
Be comfortable with being involved with the end to end development process. From ideation to design QA - you feed and unblock the team.
For this role, you will need to be in EMEA or LATAM time zones
