Job Description:
Reporting to the Chief Legal Officer, the Senior Counsel role will be a key member of the Legal team. The Senior Counsel will manage, draft, and negotiate complex customer agreements and oversee regulatory and compliance matters.
What You’ll Do:
- Draft and negotiate high-level, complex agreements for sales of Elite’s products to its customers.
- Collaborate with Elite’s business teams to standardize contract forms and increase efficiency of deal execution.
- Assist with the management and implementation of Elite’s compliance program, policies, and procedures.
- Advise the commercial teams on compliance and regulatory matters.
- Advise the commercial teams on privacy and security law, including staying current on applicable privacy laws, such as CCPA and GDPR.
What You’ll Need:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school and active membership in good standing.
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience practicing law, with a strong background in commercial contract drafting and negotiating, compliance and privacy.
- Prior experience within the SaaS industry.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to evolving business priorities.
