Humanitec’s Marketing team is seeking a dynamic and data-driven Field and Events Marketing Manager. This role is ideal for a highly organized individual with a background in managing both in-person and virtual B2B events. You will thrive in our fast-paced, startup-like environment, where curiosity and creativity drive our ambition. Your primary focus will be to bring the Humanitec and Platform Engineering brands to life, showcasing our thought leadership and strategic advantage through various events to grow our sales pipeline.
What you’ll do:
Oversee execution for all in-person and virtual events. Create a diversified event calendar targeting platform engineering and infrastructure decision-makers across various industries.
Manage sponsorships for in-person events, regional sales events/dinners, and webinars.
Handle pre-event logistics, on-site event setup, and labor management to ensure seamless execution.
Track and analyze the performance of events. Provide detailed insights and reports on logistics, lead goals, pipeline impact, and competitive intelligence to inform future participation and measure ROI.
Develop and implement a lead outreach strategy in collaboration with SDRs. Optimize post-show follow-up efforts to drive closed-won deals from the events channel.
Work closely with Product Marketing and Content teams to identify speakers, develop session materials, and create supporting materials to enhance event success.
Oversee the creative development process with design teams to produce effective promotional assets for events.
Create and manage an annual collection of swag and giveaway items for in-person events and sales nurture gifts.
What you’ll bring:
Minimum of 2 years as an Events Manager or in a similar role with a passion for continuous growth.
Data-driven, deadline-focused, and capable of managing multiple projects independently.
Proficient in managing tactical deadlines and executing high-performing conferences and events.
Excellent communication skills, comfortable engaging with stakeholders across marketing, sales, customer success, and product teams.
Experience in planning and reporting on event budgets.
Proven track record of creating and implementing successful events and programs that generate high-value leads.
Experience in event content strategy and copywriting.
Native-level proficiency in English.
Nice to have:
Experience in the B2B SaaS sector, particularly with developer tooling companies, and the ability to engage with technical decision-makers.
List of trusted contractors and proven venues in the main cities in the US and Europe
Background in a rapidly growing startup environment.
Proven success in collaborating within remote and distributed teams.
