The Role
Are you a highly skilled Finance Manager with significant experience in the startup world? Do you thrive in dynamic environments and want to take ownership of financial processes in a fast-growing, sustainable startup with multiple entities? If so, we’d love to hear from you.
We are looking for a Senior Finance Manager to take charge of our financial processes as we scale. Initially, this is a very hands-on role. We don’t have an internal finance team and work closely with external accountants. However, we expect this to evolve, and the Senior Finance Manager will play a key role in shaping that transition.
Responsibilities
Accounting & Financial Oversight: Manage all entities' bookkeeping, invoice processing, and month-end closings. Collaborate with external accountants and consolidate financial statements for leadership reporting.
Financial Planning & Budgeting: Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting (4-year outlook), ensuring regular updates in collaboration with department heads.
Fundraising & Compliance: Support fundraising activities and oversee tax declarations, annual financial statements, and compliance, including Transfer Pricing Agreements.
Invoicing & Accounts Receivable: Automate and standardize invoicing and dunning processes across entities to improve efficiency.
Treasury & Expense Management: Handle company accounts, credit cards, and travel-related expenses. Oversee bonus structures and track employee bonus performance.
What you’ll bring
Proven experience in a finance role within an early-stage startup, ideally in tech
Track record of managing finances across international markets (Germany, UK, US)
Strong understanding of financial principles, practices, and regulations
Experience with financial planning, analysis, budgeting, and forecasting
Proficiency in accounting software (ideally DATEV and QuickBooks)
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment
Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for taking initiatives
Fluent in German and English
Willingness to travel as needed
This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on finance professional excited to make a meaningful impact on the financial processes of a growing company. You'll have the chance to shape the future of our finance team and work closely with leadership in a highly collaborative and innovative environment.
