Summary Description:
The Client Audit Specialist assists management by responding to requests originating from client audits and regulatory authorities. Responsible for working on special compliance related investigations and coordinating responses to both client and regulatory examinations. In addition, responsible for overseeing data pulls for regulatory and client requests. Responsible for coordinating and managing responses to client audits, ensuring that all responses are accurate and timely. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and an understanding of the US regulatory environment as it relates to Debt Collectors.
\n- Assist with the timely collection of responses to external examinations by regulatory authorities and review them to ensure they appropriately address the request.
- Develop and manage a master repository of responses in Loopio. Ensure the repository is kept updated.
- Maintain a current knowledge of applicable consumer protection laws and regulations, business operations and internal Compliance policies and procedures.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders, clients, and regulators to ensure client requests for information, audits, and related requests are responded to in a high-quality and timely manner.
- Collaborate with business partners to verify risk classification and address questions on audits.
- Research, respond to, and resolve complex or disputed audits.
- Engage with IT to streamline and enhance the audit process.
- Communicate with clients and Regulators to complete audits in a timely manner.
- Process and track audit remediation and help assure timely resolution.
- Help design and implement a change management process to ensure audit remediation is cascaded appropriately throughout the organization.
- Design and implement management reporting to provide transparency into client audit activities including scope, scale, level of effort and findings.
- Partner with the business to help assure compliant audit remediation.
- Coordinate on-site seller audits including establishing agenda, arranging meeting facilities and coordinating internal stakeholder engagement.
- Assist with other compliance related projects as directed by management.
- Support ad hoc reporting at the direction of management.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
- 5-7 years of related and pertinent work experience.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Google workspace applications.
- Experience in Risk and Compliance.
- Effective organizational, communication, time-management and interpersonal skillsHigh attention to detail.
- High attention to detail.
- Ability to handle multiple projects/tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Superior written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with employees, clients and regulators.
- Proven experience in debt collection or debt buying.
- Knowledge of compliance risk assessments and regulatory requirements.
- Knowledge of risk & compliance legislation in the context of debt collectors in the United States.
- Considerable knowledge of business processes and systems.
- Commitment to delivering quality outcomes.
- Strong critical thinking skills and intellectual curiosity.
- Familiarity with data privacy regulations and implementation of privacy measures within the organisation.
- Experience in other European Countries.
- Memberships with Organisations such as ACA, ICA, RMAI
