About Kojo
It's time to build. Whether it's creating more housing, upgrading our infrastructure, or adapting to climate change, one thing is clear: the construction industry is at the center of solving our biggest problems. We’re making buildings cheaper and easier to build by transforming the way commercial construction companies buy their materials. Join us.
Founded in 2018, Kojo is now one of the fastest-growing construction technology companies in the world. Construction accounts for $10 trillion in global spend annually and we can’t live without its output - our roads, schools, hospitals, and offices. Despite this, there’s been very little innovation over the past 70 years in how materials - which constitute up to 40% of project costs - are bought and sold. This is our opportunity.
We’re looking for a Product Designer to drive the continued growth of our design team and the further development of our inventory management, fabrication and logistics product as a high-impact individual contributor.
About the Role
This role will include:
Developing an understanding of our customers’ needs, problems, and opportunities and how our products can uniquely solve them
Conducting thorough user research and acting as the voice of the customer on your projects
Ideating, designing and implementing industry-standard and novel workflows that involve software and real-world processes through design and systems thinking.
Collaborating with Product and Engineering to define MVPs, understand technical feasibility, and deliver the intended value to end users
Driving feature scope and improvements by tracking ongoing product use
Implementing projects through all phases, from story-mapping to visual layout, design, data collection, and refinement
Creating intuitive and simple interfaces that can be easily understood
Being the subject matter expert on the processes and workflows through the product and how those interact with the user experience
Generating solutions that will change the construction industry and its materials handling, fabrication and logistics for years to come
About You
A creative and analytical designer dedicated to driving exciting features and product improvements forward will thrive in this role. If you’re excited about collaboration, novel problem-solving, and designing complex but seamlessly usable systems, we want to hear from you!
What you’ve accomplished:
3+ years in a UX design role
Experience as a user experience designer or researcher for a B2B workflow product, with an ability to follow products through their entire life cycle from initial implementation and strategy to analytics and refinement
Reliable collaboration with product managers, engineers, and customers to research and distill stakeholder requests into real problems to be solved with design
Demonstrated ability to create intuitive and simple interfaces that can be understood through visual design
Working knowledge of: Figma, Axure RP (or equivalent prototyping software), Fullstory, Adobe Creative Cloud, Usertesting.com, Slack, Github, Google Suite
What you care about:
Innovation: You seek to understand the truth behind problems and find solutions to them
