Job Summary:
As a Video Editor, your main responsibility will be to transform raw footage into engaging, high-quality videos that tell a compelling story. You will collaborate with the content creation team, understand and contribute to the storytelling process, and bring creative ideas to life, ensuring the final product aligns with the brand's vision and goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Edit raw video footage into high-quality, engaging, and seamless final products.
- Collaborate with the content creation team to enhance storytelling through visuals.
- Stay updated with industry trends and video editing techniques.
- Work closely with videographers, writers, and graphic designers to ensure cohesive content.
- Incorporate feedback from team members and stakeholders to improve and refine video projects.
- Organize and manage video assets efficiently, ensuring easy access and maintaining a structured digital library.
- Suggest creative and innovative approaches to video editing and visual storytelling.
- Handle technical troubleshooting of video files, codecs, and export settings to ensure the best quality output.
- Adapt video content for different platforms, ensuring proper formatting, aspect ratios, and resolutions for social media, websites, and other digital channels.
- Source and edit stock footage, sound effects, and music to enhance video quality and storytelling while maintaining brand consistency.
- Ensure all video content meets accessibility standards, including adding captions, subtitles, and alternative text for an inclusive audience.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Video Editor with a strong portfolio showcasing editing skills and creativity.
- Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Figma or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of storytelling principles and how to enhance narratives through visuals.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Knowledge of video formats, compression, and delivery methods for various platforms.
- Familiarity with motion graphics and visual effects is a plus.
