The Role
LeafLink seeks an Account Executive to join our industry-leading retail team that will be focused on growing our financial services suite of services. In this role, you will be responsible for developing key relationships with retailers by leveraging LeafLink’s best-in-class payments and financial solutions platform. This role will allow you to build relationships with executive teams and strategize on ways LeafLink can improve and simplify its business and financial operations. This role is highly collaborative and requires sales and relationship management expertise, a deep understanding of financial services and technology, and an ability to apply LeafLink's suite of services.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Build relationships with Director, VP, and C-level financial executives and other senior decision makers across cannabis retailers
- Maximize customer adoption and revenue potential of LeafLink’s suite of financial products and services
- Develop a deep understanding of market trends and competition within the FinTech and Cannabis space
- Ability to synthesize and analyze data to effectively strategize ways to address the financial problems of cannabis retailers
- Create and recommend sales process and product/technology improvements
- Employ critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills to navigate relationships and difficult partner conversations
- Develop pitch narratives that scale across our payments team
- Be ready to wear many hats to build our business and jump in to help your teammates when the need arises
- Be the voice of the customer to help inform future payments product roadmaps
What You’ll Bring to the Team
- 5+ years of experience in financial services and/or fintech
- Experience managing and prioritizing day-to-day activities around a pipeline of deals
- Must demonstrate the ability to understand and articulate various products related to loans, lines of credit, trade credit, factoring, banking, treasury management, and other financial services
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth, rapidly changing environment that requires tenacity to exploit opportunities and a steady demeanor to handle challenges
- You are the poster child for the startup hustle: change is your only constant, no challenge is too big, and no task is too small
- Self-motivated and excited by the potential to own what you do, you have the willingness to learn and adapt as needed
- Ability to work well independently as well as with other members of the team, both in person and remotely
- Experience growing customer knowledge and relationships in complex accounts
- Problem solver and builder mindset with a strong ability to work cross-functionally to deliver results
- Proficient in Salesforce
- Preferred experience with Salesloft and other advanced analytics tools (Tableau, Sigma, etc.)
