About the Role:
Are you a proactive, highly motivated, and technically savvy professional ready to make a difference? We are seeking a contractor to backfill our Senior Revenue Accounting Managers while they focus on critical IT projects. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in dynamic environments and has a comprehensive understanding of ASC 606, coupled with experience in SaaS, services, and hardware arrangements.

\n- Lead revenue accounting close procedures: Prepare and review of key controls, account reconciliations, journal entries, and conducting fluctuation analyses, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Manage day-to-day revenue accounting operation: Oversee the daily revenue accounting operations to ensure smooth functioning
- Lead services deal review cycle: Partner closely with Sales, Deal Desk, and Legal to provide technical revenue guidance for deal negotiation and structuring, ensure application of ASC 606 and financial objectives are met
- Review customer contracts to ensure customer contracts are recorded and accounted for accurately
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to build accounting processes that supports existing and any new products or business expansion initiatives
- Play a key role in our quarterly and annual review and audit process
- Drive the Team’s internal, continuous improvement initiatives and substantiation of accounting conventions
- Effectively manage workflow, providing timely feedback and input while keeping management aware of key issues.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within the revenue and accounting functions.
- Lead and mentor a team of revenue accounting professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
- 10+ years in finance and accounting, with a strong background in high-growth SaaS industries
- 7+ years in a leadership or managerial role, demonstrate strong people management skills
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting or Finance required
- CPA and Big 4 Public Accounting experience are a plus
- Strong working knowledge of US GAAP, including ASC 606
- Experience with Salesforce, Zuora, and NetSuite are required
- Ability to effectively operate in a fast-paced environment with the ability to adapt to change
