Max Retail enables the growth of the independent retail industry through a platform that connects the supply of unsold inventory to a global network of demand. Max Retail will become the largest supply chain that holds zero inventory, integrated everywhere inventory is managed and sold.
We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager who is ready to roll up their sleeves and dive into the financial processes of a rapidly scaling business. Reporting directly to the CFO, the Accounting Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of accounting operations, including financial reporting, month-end close, reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. This is a hands-on role that requires a detail-oriented individual with experience implementing new controls and accounting processes.
\n- Manage all aspects of general ledger including analysis, reconciliations, and journal entries
- Oversee the day-to-day accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and communication with multifunctional team members.
- Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.
- Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with GAAP standards.
- Oversee cash flow management, including forecasting and monitoring of cash inflows and outflows.
- Coordinate with external auditors to facilitate the annual audit process and address any audit findings or inquiries.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support strategic initiatives and provide financial insights for decision-making.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification preferred but not required.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in accounting roles, including demonstrated experience with internal controls or accounting process improvement.
- Expertise in Quickbooks OnlineStrong technical accounting skills Experience working in a startup or high-growth environment is preferred.
