This is a remote role with up to 40% travel ~ candidates however; must reside in Tennessee, Iowa or Texas.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Division Human Resources Manager’s role is to enable strategic human capital initiatives that drive desired people and business outcomes while supporting our aspiration to become the premier building products provider in North America. This role will lead the comprehensive human resources functions for their assigned location(s) with the assistance of a centralized shared services HR model.

- Ensure the organization’s compliance with local, state and federal regulations with the assistance of the centralized compliance teams
- Ensure all company HR policies are applied consistently
- Manage and oversee all hiring and recruiting efforts; this includes strategic workforce planning, working with hiring managers and our Talent Acquisition team to fill open positions, onboard new hires and build strong internal and external pipelines
- Enforce and train site leaders on performance management tools to provide guidance and feedback to employees
- Engage Learning & Development tools to advance the knowledge, skills and abilities of employees that align with their roles and career objectives and drive succession planning. Support the Operations with any necessary training or programming initiatives. (i.e., Problem Solving, Improvement Suggestions, 5S)
- Oversee and take a proactive approach to employee relations and investigate employee issues and conflicts and bring them to resolution in a timely manner and document properly. Manage any and all investigation processes as they relate to harassment, corporate complaints, workplace violence, etc. Report issues to HR Director and work in conjunction with Compliance as needed
- Support employees and leaders during the annual employee engagement survey by encouraging participation, reviewing results, and working with leaders to develop and execute action plans throughout the year to maintain strong employee engagement, and performance
- Understand and monitor time and attendance processes to ensure the centralized payroll team can complete processes routinely
- Facilitate employee communication strategies on site by ensuring communication boards, digital communication displays, and electronic communications have up to date information accessible to employees
- Oversee and monitor leave administration processes and requests for accommodations in compliance with applicable laws and policies with the assistance of a centralized leave team
- Drive our diversity, equity and inclusion efforts at your site by encouraging the presence of different types of people, eliminating barriers to ensure all employees have access to resources, opportunities and advancement, and create an environment where everyone feels welcomed, respected and valued
- Help engage our safety culture by working closely with EHS partners and participating in leadership safety initiatives including safety meetings, safety incident root cause analysis, safety walks and talks, and correcting any observed safety concerns
- Enforce defined compensation strategies as it relates to promotions, skill advancement, gainshare, merit, market/inflation
- Monitor and maintain accurate HRIS data including correct job assignment, employment status changes, manager assignments, etc.
- Maintain H.R. related expenses within budgetary guidelines; provide ongoing information regarding required metrics, worker’s compensation activities, training hours, and overtime expenses to the Plant Manager and/or Directors as required. As well as properly manage any travel and expenses associated with your role
- Manage and actively participate in all termination practices
- Help drive CBB Cares initiatives including, our Connecting Communities, our Home for Good Project, and Employee Assistance Fund
- Encourages positive interaction between management and employees; plan and implement employee activities
- Ensures that their facility is utilizing management practices which result in our employee not seeing a need for a third party for locations without a third party
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Management, or related discipline is highly preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of 10 years progressive Human Resources experience in a manufacturing or production environment with at least 5 years of HR leadership experience
- Experience with cross-functional/multi-site partnership, by developing and delivering strategic HR plans that fit with the overall business direction
- Highly developed verbal and written communication skills required.
- An analytical and strategic mindset
- Proficiency with personal computers with ability to analyze data and present clear and concise reports required
- Some training background with ability to present general training programs required
- One must be experienced with employee relations, staffing, recruiting, safety/workers compensation, training, disciplinary actions,
- Must have experience in developing and administering various HR policies
- Ability to create positive working relationships with both front line employees and leadership teams
- Availability to travel up to 40%

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $120,000 -135,000 + 10% Annual Bonus + medical, dental, vision benefits starting day 1 + 401k and PTO. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process. (Full-time is defined as regularly working 30+ hours per week.)
