Who You Are
We are looking for a diligent and detail-oriented Staff Accountant with a strong grasp of accounting principles. You'll handle financial records, perform bank reconciliations, manage accounts payable and receivable, and assist with month-end and year-end closes. You'll ensure compliance with accounting standards, help prepare financial reports, and work with different teams on various projects. If you're good with accounting software, can manage multiple tasks at once, and are dedicated to accuracy and efficiency, we want you on our team.
\n- Complete monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close processes.
- Prepare and review monthly journal entries.
- Monthly reconciliation of bank statements and balance sheet accounts.
- Manage AP, AR, invoicing, and expense reporting functions.
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles (GAAP) and internal policies.
- Assist in the implementation of new accounting standards.
- Assist in the preparation of the monthly reporting package.
- Develop and document processes that improve the efficiency and accuracy of financial reporting.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of accounting policies and procedures.
- Support the annual financial statement audit and tax filings.
- Cross-functional support on ad hoc projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related area required.
- 3 plus years of relevant accounting experience is required.
- SaaS or similar technology-focused industry experience is preferred.
- Experience leading end-to-end month/quarter/year-end closes preferred.
- Intermediate-to-advanced MS Excel proficiency is required.
- A high degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and time management skills.
- Strong analytical skills, advanced Excel skills, and ability to analyze raw information, conclude, and develop actionable recommendations.
- Experience with QuickBooks Online is preferred.
- CPA or a CPA candidate is preferred.
