We’re looking for a Director of SEO Solutions to play a pivotal role in leading and evolving our SEO program. Reporting to the VP of SEO Solutions, this leader will guide a team of content strategy specialists, equipping independent creators with actionable recommendations and data-driven insights that help them compete with large publishing competitors. Our team goes beyond theory—we provide real-world strategies and tools that enable creators to strengthen their search presence, grow their audiences, and increase revenue.
This role is critical to our mission of advocating for and protecting our creators’ interests—helping them navigate an ever-changing search landscape while staying ahead of industry shifts.

What you’ll be doing:
- Work directly with Raptive’s largest creators, providing actionable, data-driven SEO recommendations to help them compete against major publishing competitors.
- Manage and refine an SEO program that scales across a diverse range of creators, focusing on high-impact strategies for our largest publishers.
- Develop and implement efficient processes for delivering SEO insights and recommendations at scale.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of SEO and content strategy specialists, fostering a high-performance, inclusive culture and providing ongoing performance feedback.
- Drive the execution of Raptive’s SEO strategy, ensuring measurable growth in organic traffic and revenue for creators.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, analytics, marketing, communications, and customer success teams to ensure SEO is seamlessly integrated into creator success initiatives.
The skills and experience you bring to the job:
- Deep SEO expertise, particularly in the context of content creators and independent publishers competing in search.
- Proven experience working directly with digital creators and understanding their unique SEO challenges.
- Experience leading and scaling content teams, editorial teams, or SEO-focused teams in a fast-moving environment.
- Strong leadership skills with a track record of growing and managing high-performing teams while fostering a culture of inclusion and impact.
- Expertise in scaling SEO workflows and processes to drive efficiency and impact at scale.
- Effective communicator, capable of translating complex SEO concepts into clear, actionable strategies for creators and internal teams.
- Strong ability to analyze SEO data, extract actionable insights, and drive decision-making.
- Comfortable navigating high-ambiguity situations and executing SEO strategies in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.
- 2+ years of experience leading and growing teams, including remote teams.
- 10+ years of SEO experience in the digital publishing industry, with a strong understanding of content-driven SEO strategies.
- Proven ability to analyze data, build compelling narratives, and align stakeholders around SEO strategies that drive measurable impact.
- Experience working in a startup or fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment.

The base salary range for this position is $120,000-$160,000. The range provided is Raptive’s reasonable estimate of the annualized base compensation for this role. The actual amount may be higher or lower, based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, geographic location, knowledge, skills and abilities. This role is eligible for additional incentive compensation that isn’t included in the posted range.
