About the Role:
At Super, you will learn what it is like to work in-house at a fast-paced, venture-backed startup that is pushing to provide better opportunities and experiences to underserved individuals in new and innovative ways. The legal department is composed of a small group of professionals who are committed to not only supporting the advancement of our company’s goals, but also to the professional development of each team member.
In this role, you will report directly to the Product Counsel, but will interface daily with our Associate Product Counsel, General Counsel, and Legal Operations Manager. You can expect to regularly be assigned projects where you are asked to provide legal analysis on a wide variety of topics, including privacy law, banking regulations, intellectual property, and commercial transactions. Interns can also expect to work editing and drafting contracts that range in scope from a one-page addenda to a 50-page Master Service Agreement. We encourage our interns to share with us what areas of law interest them the most so we are better able to assign projects that directly relate to their passions.
Super’s legal team also maintains an emphasis on the development of professional skills that aren’t always taught in law school—we provide additional training on interpersonal interactions, insight into contract negotiation tactics, and help you navigate establishing yourself as an attorney in whatever area of law you pursue.
