Job Description
We are looking for an experienced HR Technology Lead to manage our HR technology landscape, which includes Workday HRIS, Greenhouse Applicant Tracking System, and several other systems. You will ensure the integration and operation of our HR technology platforms, driving process improvements, and managing the HR tech system owners. An important focus of this role is to ensure our HR technology is durable, scalable, and provides an elegant user experience for moments that matter to employees and managers.
You Will:
Guide the HR technology strategy aligned with our goals.
Evaluate new HR technologies to enhance current systems, ensuring durability and scalability.
Oversee the configuration, maintenance, and optimization of Workday HRIS, Greenhouse ATS, and other HR systems.
Ensure data integrity and security across all HR technology platforms.
Coordinate with IT and other departments to manage system upgrades, patches, and integrations.
Ensure systems are designed and maintained to support scalability and long-term sustainability.
Directly manage the HR tech system owners, providing guidance and performance feedback.
Foster a collaborative team environment.
Develop training plans to enhance the skills of the HR technology team.
Analyze current HR processes and workflows, identifying opportunities for improvement, automation, and scalability.
Lead programs to refine HR operations and improve efficiency through technology.
Implement best practices for system usage and data management.
Focus on creating an elegant user experience for employees and managers during important moments in their journey.
Manage relationships with HR technology vendors, ensuring service delivery.
Negotiate contracts and agreements with vendors to secure favorable terms.
Lead HR technology projects from creation to completion, ensuring delivery and adherence to budget.
Coordinate with partners to gather requirements, define project scope, and develop implementation plans.
Monitor project progress, addressing any issues that arise.
Qualifications
You Have:
7+ years of experience in HR technology management, with an understanding of HRIS and ATS systems.
Experience with Workday HRIS and ATS systems.
Team management skills.
Project management abilities, with experience leading complex projects.
A history of adapting to changing needs.
Experience ensuring technology solutions are durable, scalable, and provide an elegant user experience.
Even Better:
HR or IT certifications (e.g., SHRM-CP, PMP, etc.).
Experience leading HR Technology for Fintech or Technology Companies

Block takes a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on your location. U.S. locations are categorized into one of four zones based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.
Zone A: USD $198,000 - USD $297,000
Zone B: USD $198,000 - USD $297,000
Zone C: USD $198,000 - USD $297,000
Zone D: USD $198,000 - USD $297,000
