Why do we need you? Well, we’re looking for a Senior Lifecycle Marketing Manager who will own a critical stage of our user lifecycle—retention. You will report to the Senior Manager, Lifecycle Marketing and will be responsible for driving customers to adopt and engage deeply with our product by leveraging behavioral data and advanced segmentation to deliver highly relevant campaigns that serve up the right message at precisely the right time. With strategic experimentation, you’ll shape the customer experience and ultimately drive ongoing value.
A day in the life of a Senior Lifecycle Marketing Manager at Calendly
On a typical day, you will be working on:
- Designing and refining end-to-end lifecycle campaigns that help new customers discover key features, integrate them into their workflows, and cultivate lasting usage habits.
- Leveraging advanced segmentation and personalization strategies to deliver timely, relevant messages that encourage deeper product adoption.
- Collaborating with Product, Product Marketing, and Retention teams to incorporate relevant feature launches, onboarding resources, and habit-forming guidance into your engagement campaigns.
- Experimenting with messaging, content, and campaign timing to boost feature activation rates, improve customer satisfaction, and reduce churn among paid subscribers.
- Analyzing product usage data and performance metrics, interpreting insights to identify opportunities for increasing engagement and guiding strategic lifecycle initiatives.
- Iterating on your campaigns and frameworks based on results, ensuring that each improvement reflects a deep understanding of customer needs, product potential, and overall business goals.
What do we need from you?
- 7+ years of experience in email marketing and lifecycle campaign management within a B2B tech or SaaS company.
- Demonstrated success working with a self-serve product and a proven track record of driving ongoing adoption and retention among customers.
- Proficiency with lifecycle marketing platforms (Braze preferred) and familiarity with personalization techniques, A/B testing, and sophisticated segmentation strategies.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret product usage data, draw actionable insights, and iterate on campaigns that encourage habitual use of key features.
- Excellent communication skills, with an aptitude for writing compelling, user-centric messaging that helps customers understand how to best leverage the product for their specific use case.
- Exceptional project management capabilities and attention to detail, ensuring that you can juggle multiple initiatives, meet deadlines, and deliver quality results.
- A deep understanding of product value propositions, an ability to translate that value into practical user benefits, and expertise in guiding customers toward meaningful product adoption and long-term habit formation.

The ranges listed below are the expected annual base salary for this role, subject to change.
Calendly takes a number of factors into consideration when determining an employee’s starting salary, including relevant experience, relevant skills sets, interview performance, location/metropolitan area, and internal pay equity.
Base salary is just one component of Calendly’s total rewards package. All full-time (30 hours/week) employees are also eligible for our Quarterly Corporate Bonus program (or Sales incentive), equity awards, and competitive benefits.
Calendly uses the zip code of an employee’s remote work location, or the onsite building location if hybrid, to determine which metropolitan pay range we use. Current geographic zones are as follows:
- Tier 1: San Francisco, CA, San Jose, CA, New York City, NY
- Tier 2: Chicago, IL, Austin, TX, Denver, CO, Boston, MA, Washington D.C., Philadelphia, PA, Portland, OR, Seattle, WA, Miami, FL, and all other cities in CA.
- Tier 3: All other locations not in Tier 1 or Tier 2
