About the Role
We are looking for an experienced SEO professional with excellent writing, technical and collaboration skills to help drive the evolution of highspot.com. You will act as a player/coach charged with enhancing visits and revenue through organic search channels, drive the SEO strategy and execution to optimize website architecture, content, and digital marketing effectiveness for highspot.com.
Experience working in competitive search verticals with a track record of building sustainable, successful SEO strategies is a must. You will lead a small team with a variety of backgrounds and website experience, as well as work with cross-functional team members in a number of other departments.
\n- Responsibilities include:
- Own our SEO strategy and serve as a key member of the website team to drive organic search visits and execute on-page optimization strategies to improve organic visibility.
- Ideate and optimize SEO strategies based on industry trends, algorithm updates, competitor intelligence, and business KPIs.
- Align SEO strategies with SEM and conversion rate optimization.
- Manage a small team to execute your strategies globally across our blog.
- Manage the creation of on-page SEO content and execute on-page optimization strategies.
- Conduct site audits and support QA of releases, resolving HTML code, content, link architecture, and navigation issues.
- Optimize on-site content for maximum organic performance, including HTML, image optimization, site structure, metadata, page layout, and navigation considerations.
- Conduct extensive keyword research to discover and prioritize opportunities.
- Implement and maintain on-site technical SEO, addressing technical issues and staying updated with best practices.
- Establish and maintain a high-quality backlink profile.
- Collaborate with editors, writers, digital media planners, web developers, and creatives to apply SEO best practices.
- Collaborate with the Paid Search team to ensure integration and alignment across the search space.
- Inform the website and blog content strategy to increase qualified organic traffic aligned with business goals.
- Use keyword research to influence external messaging and promotions.
- Monitor weekly and monthly organic performance reports, sharing actionable insights.
- Evaluate and facilitate understanding of SEO performance through dashboards on results and upcoming optimization efforts.
- Collect, analyze, and report on SEO and performance funnel KPIs monthly and quarterly.
- Keep up-to-date with the latest industry and SEO trends, algorithm updates, SERP landscape changes, and content optimization best practices.
- Continuously test content, layouts, products, and metadata to increase qualified organic traffic.
- Dive into website issues as they occur, perform ad hoc analyses as needed, and help drive issues to resolution.
- 5+ years of experience driving SEO strategy and executing organic growth initiatives.
- 1-2 years of experience managing a team and/or contractors.
- Proven track record of leading successful SEO projects end-to-end, delivering rapid organic traffic growth for web properties.
- Extensive understanding of SEO principles, best practices, and industry trends.
- Proficient in technical and on-page SEO, with deep knowledge of search engine algorithms and result features.
- Experience with core website tech stack: WordPress, Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console, Google Tag Manager, SEMRush, aHrefs, VWO (additional experience with Marketo & Salesforce preferred).
- Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, UX principles, and design thinking.
- Working knowledge of SEO-related XML, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, robots.txt, XML sitemaps, and Schema.
- Understanding of site speed drivers and other site performance KPIs.
- Experience analyzing data, contributing actionable insights, and communicating key findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Skilled in SEO copywriting and research and experience in crafting compelling narratives, requirements, and briefs for web designers and writers.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with internal and client content, product, design, and development teams.
- Ability to be both strategic and detail-oriented.
- Self-starter approach to work, with an eagerness to consistently meet and exceed objectives and willingness to take on additional responsibility.
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment and manage workflow effectively.
- Familiarity with SEO international sites and/or marketing to audiences in regions outside of the US; experience with localization is a plus.

Base salary range: $109,000 - $204,000. Employees are eligible to receive stock options and may also receive other forms of compensation.
The above represents total expected compensation for this role. Actual compensation will depend on various job-related factors, including, but not limited to, location, experience, and job qualifications.
