Role: Entry Level E-commerce Bookkeeper
Hours: 8am - 4pm Mountain Standard Time
Hourly Wage: $5 - $10 (Open to negotiation based on experience)
Lago is seeking a detail-oriented and organized E-commerce Bookkeeper to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial transactions related to our e-commerce operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal financial policies and external regulations. As an E-commerce Bookkeeper, you will manage the day-to-day accounting activities, including processing sales orders, tracking inventory, and reconciling financial discrepancies. Your insights will be crucial in helping us understand the financial performance of our online business and provide valuable support in strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate should possess a strong understanding of bookkeeping principles, proficiency in accounting software, and a passion for driving e-commerce success. You will work closely with various departments including finance, logistics, and customer service to analyze financial data, prepare reports, and contribute to quarterly and annual budgeting processes. Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain accurate financial records for all e-commerce transactions.
- Reconcile bank statements and payment processor accounts on a regular basis.
- Prepare and process invoices, receipts, and payments in a timely manner.
- Assist in inventory management by tracking purchases and sales of products.
- Generate financial reports and summaries of sales performance and profitability.
- Collaborate with the finance team to ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
- Support the budgeting process by providing data and analysis on operational expenses.
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper, preferably in an e-commerce environment.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks or Xero.
- Familiarity with e-commerce platforms such as Shopify, Amazon, or eBay is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reporting.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
