Role Overview:
The Amazon Specialist is responsible for managing and optimizing product listings on Amazon to drive sales and increase brand visibility. This role requires a deep understanding of Amazon’s ecosystem, including SEO, coordinating PPC efforts, inventory management optimization, and overseeing customer service operations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of increasing sales on Amazon and possess strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Listing Management:
- Create, update, and optimize product listings to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Conduct keyword research and implement Amazon SEO strategies to improve product rankings and visibility.
- Write compelling product titles, descriptions, and bullet points that align with brand guidelines and convert shoppers.
Amazon PPC Coordination:
- Collaborate closely with the PPC team to ensure alignment of goals and strategies for each product on Amazon.
- Communicate product-specific goals and objectives to the PPC team to ensure cohesive campaigns.
- Provide input and feedback on PPC performance, ensuring strategies are aligned with overall sales objectives.
Inventory Management Optimization:
- Understand and optimize the existing inventory management system, staying updated with the latest tools and best practices.
Data Analysis & Reporting:
- Analyze sales data and customer reviews to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to optimize product performance.
- Prepare weekly and monthly reports on sales, inventory, and campaign performance, with a strong understanding of Amazon’s reporting and attribution systems.
Customer Service Oversight:
- Oversee the customer service operations to ensure customer inquiries and issues are resolved in a timely and professional manner.
- Coordinate with the customer service team to manage product reviews and ratings, addressing negative feedback to maintain a positive brand reputation.
- Implement strategies to increase positive reviews and improve customer satisfaction.
Compliance & Policy Adherence:
- Ensure all listings comply with Amazon’s guidelines and policies.
- Stay updated on Amazon’s terms of service, algorithm changes, and best practices.
- Manage and resolve any account-related issues, including policy violations, account suspensions, and product restrictions.
Competitor Analysis:
- Conduct regular competitor analysis to understand market trends and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Identify opportunities for product differentiation and pricing strategies.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience managing Amazon Seller Central.
- Strong understanding of Amazon flat files, SEO, and algorithm updates.
- Proficient in using Amazon tools, such as Seller Central, Vendor Central, Amazon Advertising, Brand Analytics, and third-party software for Amazon analysis.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets; experience with inventory management software is a plus.
- Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of other ecommerce platforms like Shopify, eBay, or Walmart Marketplace. Certification in Amazon Advertising or similar e-commerce certifications.
